3blue1brown, or 3b1b for those who prefer less of a tongue-twister, centers around presenting math with a visuals-first approach. Rather than first deciding on a lesson then putting illustrations to it for the sake of having a video, almost all projects start with a particular visualization, with the narrative and storyline then revolving around this image. 　　Topics themselves tend to fall into one of two categories: 　　Lessons on topics people might be seeking out, like linear algebra, neural networks, calculus, Fourier transforms, the math of bitcoin, quantum mechanics, etc. 　　Problems in math which many people may not have heard of, and which seem really hard at first, but where some shift in perspective makes it both doable and beautiful. I try to keep track of these here. 　　Loosely speaking, I think of the first category as motivating math by its usefulness, and the second as motivating math as an art form. But of course, the line dividing these two is easily blurred.

A rookie cop inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. Black and Blue was a BBC TV comedy-drama series, first broadcast in 1973. The show consisted of six 50–60 minutes episodes, each a separate self-contained playlet. The only connection was the Black and Blue humour theme.The first episode was broadcast on 14 August 1973, with the finale on 18 September 1973. The first, Secrets, was wiped, only surviving thanks to a domestic videotape copy made from the master by producer Mark Shivas.

On the surface, Black and Blue appears to be a “day in life” of a protagonist, played by Johnson. It begins with him waking up in bed and getting ready in the bathroom. Filmed in his home and featuring his family, Black and Blue takes its title from the Fats Waller jazz standard (popularized by Louis Armstrong), which can be heard in the video (played on the piano by Johnson’s son). The film is also connected to Johnson’s work and artistic practice, showing interspersed clips of his own as well as artworks by other Black artists (like Deana Lawson), books ( like Roy deCarava), and traditional African masks in his home.

Teófilo Alfonso, also known as “Panamá Al” Brown, the first Latin American World Boxing Champion. After a fixed fight costs him his title, he retires to Paris. There, he becomes a sensation in a second-rate cabaret and catches the eye of poet Jean Cocteau, who becomes both his lover and agent. Despite being 35 and battling addiction, Brown agrees to return to boxing to reclaim his lost championship.
